We’ve been on your side of the invoice.
ATMS Marketing — formally Around Town Media Services — was started by someone who spent more than two decades running a blue-collar trade business.
Two decades of quoting jobs, chasing work, making payroll through a slow season, and hiring marketing companies that sent reports full of numbers that never quite answered whether the phone was ringing more.
That’s the perspective ATMS is built on. We understand marketing from both sides — as the people doing it, and as the business owner paying for it and waiting to find out if it worked.
What that changes
We talk about business, not metrics. Impressions aren’t the goal. Leads, jobs and orders are. If a number doesn’t connect to one of those, it doesn’t lead the conversation.
We’ll tell you not to spend. If a channel isn’t worth it for your business right now, saying so is worth more to us than the invoice. We’d rather keep a client for years than sell them something that won’t work.
We know what a marketing budget competes with. Payroll, equipment, insurance, fuel, inventory. Marketing has to earn its place against real costs, and we treat it that way.
We’re careful about who we take on. Our current direction is to work with one business per industry within a given market. We don’t think your marketing partner should be building the same strategy for the competitor down the street. If you want to know whether your market is open, ask us.
Who we work with
The trade background is where we came from, not a limit on who we serve. We work with local service businesses, ecommerce and product brands, and companies expanding into new markets.
Those businesses need genuinely different strategies — what works for a contractor covering three cities has little in common with what works for a store shipping nationwide. What they share is simpler: a real business, real customers to reach, and marketing that should be judged on results.
